Jubilee Lakes Fishery is situated between Shildon, West Auckland and Darlington and between the River Tees and River Wear just over the North Yorkshire border in Co Durham.
For Sat Nav users our postcode is DL2 2UH. This may bring you to Oakwood Learning Centre but continue down the lane keeping right if you were to drive out of Oakwood as we are in the valley bottom just below it.

Directions for Jubilee Lakes Fly Fishery for anglers travelling from the North or the South from A1(M)
Leave the A1(M) Motorway at Junction 58. If you are travelling from the South take the first exit from the roundabout or from travelling from the North take the third exit. It will be sign posted A68 Corbridge / Bishop Auckland. Travel north for 1.7 miles to the next roundabout where you will take the first exit, signposted West Auckland / Corbridge A68. Continue for almost a mile until you come to the Blacksmiths Arms Public House, (was the Dog Inn). Do not turn off but continue north staying on the A68 for a further 1.1miles. You will see a Brown Tourist Information Sign for Jubilee Lakes as you travel up the hill then another Brown Jubilee Lakes sign as you come to a small crossroads. Turn right there on to a lane marked with a 7.5 tonne weight limit. Now keep tight left (on tarmac roads) & turn left for exactly 1 mile following the Brown Tourist Signs until you will come to our gate in the valley bottom.

Leave Darlington on the A68 and continue until you arrive at the A1 (M) motorway roundabout. At the roundabout take the second exit signposted A68 Bishop Auckland / Corbridge. Travel north for 1.7 miles to the next roundabout where you will take the first exit, signposted West Auckland / Corbridge A68. Continue for almost a mile until you come to the Dog Inn Public House. Take the A68 for Darlington out of West Auckland and stay on the A68. After 2.4 miles you will pass a turning to Shildon on your left and then a turning to Piercebridge on your right. Do not take either of these turnings but almost immediately take the next left turn. (You will see a Brown Tourist Information Sign for Jubilee Lakes - the turning is immediately opposite it). Keep right for exactly 1.2 miles and you will come to our gates.

Take the A67 out of Barnard Castle and at the mini roundabout at the top of the town bear left onto the A688 signposted Bishop Auckland. Continue for another 5.4 miles keep left staying on the A688. You will pass through Staindrop Village. Continue for another 4.7 miles to a roundabout just past a petrol station.Take the second exit off the roundabout again staying on the A688. After half a mile you will come to another roundabout. Take the third exit signposted A68 Darlington. After 2.4 miles you will pass a turning to Shildon on your left and then a turning to Piercebridge on your right. Do not take either of these turnings but almost immediately take the next left turn. Follow the Darlington signs out of Shildon on the A6072. You will soon come to Redworth Village. Turn right in the village onto High Road, (the only main right hand turn). Follow the road through the village keeping right. After approximately half a mile you will drop down a short but steep bank. Keep left at the bottom of the bank and then turn immediately right. We are 200 yards further down in the valley bottom on the left hand side. Please drive slowly or you will miss our gateway.
* We are very close to the tourist destinations of Teesdale, Weardale and North Yorkshire as well as the market towns of Barnard Castle and Darlington and with Bowes Museum, Raby Castle and Auckland Castle close by. Visit Kynren at Auckland Castle, Beamish Open Air Museum and the City of Durham with it's inspiring Durham Cathedral, recently voted the UK's Number One Landmark. All less than thirty minutes driving time. The Locomotion National Railway Museum is only 4 miles away in Shildon.
